About
Hi there! My name is Ali Clark and I would like to welcome you to my food and photography blog, Ali a la mode!
I started this blog in the summer of 2013 as a way for me to catalog my cooking and baking experiences and to try to inspire myself to work through some of the massive collection of recipes that I have been accumulating for years. That is right, I can admit it, I have a recipe hording problem! In my quest to spend more time experimenting in the kitchen, I also hope that sharing these recipes will inspire you to give some of them a try.
In addition to being a food lover, I am an amateur photographer with a passion for macro. I can spend hours at a time photographing the small details in life, especially flowers. I also really enjoy taking portraits and have been working my way into landscape photography as well. Photographing food for my blog posts has been a whole new, interesting adventure which has been a very different concept for me. As time goes on, I hope to share more of my 'artistic' photos with you as well.
My other favorite past times include DIYing, traveling, hiking, painting, and having super long TV show season marathons with my hubs. I have lived in the New England area my whole life and absolutely love it here (although we could probably do with at least two months less winter.) I am married to a wonderful man (K) and we have a beautiful baby boy who was born in March 2014 (little K) and of course, I can't forget to mention our fur-baby (Sadie)! I am so grateful for my husband and amazing supportive family and friends who have encouraged me to create this blog and who are there to help me eat all of my cooking experiments!

I just found your blog and love it. I am trying your Ramen noodle recipe tonight. Now that I found you, I will enjoy reading the rest of your posts. I too am a recipe hoarder and was thinking of just banging threw them to either keep or discard. I am also a cookbook and food magazine junkie. Your son is adorable. We live on the East end of Long Island. We have our own chickens, turkey and bee hives along with a very large vegetable garden. Can't forget our two fur babies Jolene and Traci. Hope all is well and thanks for your blog.
